The Applying Education Technology course and the Disruptive Innovation in Technology were both two courses that made me comfortable with being uncomfortable. These 8 week courses in my first higher education courses were nothing like my undergrad, which was expected, but not to this extent.This fall, I experienced a lot of firsts. I began my career in elementary teaching, I contracted Covid and the flu, and began this program. I honestly don’t know how other classmates with families do this. I gave so many props to my classmates. I have no kids and I honestly struggled to get these courses completed. I have never been so unsure of myself and didn’t think I’d make it to the end. That could be my fixed mindset trying to power the emerging growth mindset, but I was sure I’d drop both of these courses after the second week. My biggest weakness in these 8 weeks was my time management with certain assignments. Though I am proud of myself for asking for help with my group.That is something I struggle with is asking fir help, but quickly came to the conclusion that that will go along way especially with already feeling defeated in both classes.Having the group on Group me which consisted of( 16 classmates (listed below)) made me feel not alone and not completely lost. I was able to find a common group with some of the classmates and guided each other on certain assignments or different methods that worked better for some more than others.I appreciate the feedback given on the assignment and took into account the corrections needed.I did in fact turn in all assignments and met the various deadlines. I do believe I lacked in taking responsibility of leadership.
