In Part 7- Disrupting Higher Education then mentioned the "first rockstar" and it happened to be the founder of Khan Academy, Sal Khan. He has even been called some people's favorite teacher. I am someone who would not understand something in high school and would have not a care in the world. While that is concerning in many ways to many people,I knew I was going to get help from Mr. Khan himself so everything would be fine. He set the precedent to learning online pre pandemic. The way he was able to teach simple geometry and any other subject you can think of through technology was a major shift to education. That was the change we needed to open up other avenues of education through and with technology. In Bring on the learning revolution, the idea that made me pause was, having to be in a circumstance where these passions and qualities show themselves. In reality you can’t discover you have a passion for doing something without trying it. This really made think about how many people there are that just go through the motions for their job because it pays the bills and they didn’t know what else to do. They don’t know because they have never experienced it. That is only a sliver as to why why change is essential for any and all.
