Progressive Education

In a public school system in Texas most districts are teaching to the test no matter how hard the district tries to deny it.Now since Covid has been around there seems to be much of a gap. This year is a hard year for everyone in the school system.Schools do seem to lose sight of being able to teach kids certain standards and be able to gave a little freedom and creativity. Nowadays its you have this much time to teach this because its in the test.I agree with hands on learning and more kinesthetic learning. Most kids learn better that way. Though this has been implemented, this is simply not enough.Godin explains it the best ," those that are already in it, you can't push too far, because they like the genre...", people are use to the norm and don’t really like change.Having many first time experiences in different work settings through my high school and college years my eyes are more open to what it is like to experience the different perspectives of change in the work place.No matter what the work environment is change is always scary but does need to evolove just like the rest of the world. That is why it is imperative for education to evolve within the world surrounding.
