" If your friend jumped off a bridge, would you?" Some may remember their guardian start a conversation about not falling into peer pressure with this well known quote. Growing up we were always told to not feed into peer pressure when it came to hanging with the wrong crowd or making bad choices in general. As shown in All Washed Up, as soon as one subject got hand sanitizer some followed soon after. This wasn't the leading example, but this still encouraged more subjects. In this example peer pressure was view as a positive instead of a negative. Having the six sources of influence broken into two domains helps stratagize two important factors in implementing change. The motivation has to be there in order to be willing to gain the ability to learn, grow and change. In the subcategorized of personal, social, and structural, this allows for a better execution of the change initiative by first getting one on board by relating emotionally, following by have leaders on board to further implement change and have a powerful motion to their peers. Finally, having the structural support to implement the change with the right people will get the change implemented at a more successful rate.
